Talk:Quorning Boats
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'll get more of this done later. But I thought it almost criminal that one of the leading trimaran manufacturers wasn't even mentioned. - Slamlander (talk) 23:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm deleting it as spam but without prejudice against re-creation. When you get more of it done, re-create the page. --Richard (talk) 23:19, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

- Calling it spam is a bit harsh. A lot harsh, actually. It was well past 2300 CET when I created it and I needed to sleep. That's why it wasn't done immediately. Slamlander (talk) 08:45, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

- Sorry but, if you create an article with just a link to the corporate website, it is SPAM. You may wish to consult our guidelines concerning articles about corporations as you work on the article. Following these guidelines and the ones about spam will save you this kind of grief in the future.
- Next time, if you can't write a decent stub, go and get some sleep first and write one in the morning.

- Just read the notability requirements. Qourning Boats is notable on one level but maybe not on the Corp level. OTOH, none of the manufacturers given on the sailboats page is any more notable than Qourning Boats. I've had run-ins with the notability requirement before and have found it to be quite subjective. What I don't want is to spend a few hours writing an article, just to get it deleted by some keelboat git, just because he doesn't think that the inventor of the trimaran swing-wing concept is notable enough. PS. I also have to get permissions for some pictures to go with the article.
