In the 12-month Roman calendar, Quintilus is after Junius,[1][2] and Quintilus is also a Roman name. Quintilus (capitalized) was the former Latin name for the fifth (later seventh) month in the Roman calendar that occurred after Junius and before Sextilus. The month of Quintilus/Quintilis was renamed to Julius in honor of Julius Caesar, who was born in that month.[1][2]
