The population of Qeshm Island is 100,000 [1]according to [www.qeshm.ir], head of Hormozgan province's emergency affairs in Iran.

Please note the the graphic of qeshm from space is very distorted. A quick check on googlemaps shows that it is long an thin and has the form of a shark which may account for its name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.111.151.130 (talk) 09:21, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
