A discussion of man-made, artificial pulmonary surfactant would be useful in this article. (And at Infant respiratory distress syndrome; I added this note there also.) 24.127.110.79 16:48, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
- Added listing of current artificial pulmonary surfactants here. Under IRDS still could use discussion of treatment outcomes with different types. Hallbrianh 19:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
The values listed within the "compliance" section do not agree with their units. This sentence: "The normal surface tension for water is 70 dyn/cm (70 nN/m) and in the lungs it is 25 dyn/cm (25 mN/m); however...". 70dyn/cm should equal .7N/m. Lombar2 (talk) 07:45, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
