Puerto Escondido, Baja California Sur

Puerto Escondido (also known as Puerto Loreto) is small coastal town in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. It is located at 28 km south of Loreto, on Federal Highway 1, overlooking Isla el Carmen in the Gulf of California. It belongs to the municipality of Loreto.

It is the home of "Coco" Nogales, who is Mexico's only known big wave surfer.^[1]
