Prince Dmitri Alexandrovich of Russia (August 15, 1901 - July 7, 1980) was a member of the Russian nobility of the House of Romanov.
Prince Dmitri Alexandrovich was the son of HIH the Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich ‘Sandro’ (1866-1933) and HIH the Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960). His parents were first cousins once removed. Consequently Prince Dmitri was the great-grandson of Tsar Nicholas I (from his father's side), also the great-great-grandson of the same Tsar Nicholas I (from his mother's one), the grandson of Tsar Alexander III and the nephew of Tsar Nicholas II.
When Emperor Nicholas II abdicated the Russian monarchy in March of 1917, the Emperor's mother gathered a large number of relatives including Prince Dmitri and his parents and siblings, in the Crimea. In 1918, many were detained at near Yalta, but a month later were freed by the Germans after the signing of the Treaty of Brest Litovsk. In 1919, a group including the Prince was rescued by the British battleship, HMS Marlborough, sent by King George V.[1] and taken to Malta were they spent nine months.[2]
Following the creation of the Romanov Family Association in 1979, Prince Dmitri was chosen as its first president serving until his death a year later.

Dmitri was married twice. He married first Countess Marina Golenistcheva-Koutouzov (20 November 1912-1969) on 25 October 1931 in Paris. They had one child before divorcing in 1947.
