[edit] Postal 2 Entry

I'm very much a fan of Postal 2 and I'm a little bit worried that this entry - my first for a computer game - may come across with a little bit too much enthusiasm, although I have tried to stay objective. If anyone thinks I've strayed away from the Neutral P.O.V. they can always edit it of course.

Having read the article, read your comment on the talk page, then checked the history, I was surprised to see no one had edited it. I found the article well balanced and wouldn't have guessed the author was a fan. Nice article, congrats! Jachin 01:43, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

I am very much confused on what the original author(s) was/were intending when it states in the Trivia section, "...also the game clearly noticing that this game is extrictly only for adults." I tried editing it but just didn't know what they were getting at... 71.201.109.207 05:02, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Changed extrictly -> strictly, hopefully that will clear up some confusion. brabblebrex 15:24, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Quotes Section

Does this part really belong? brabblebrex 15:22, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

About as much as it does for duke nukem, since the postal character is vocal, and with intent of humour. JackpotDen 21:48, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
could be a candidate for WikiQuote instead.

[edit] Minor inaccuracies

I just made one little correction, where it said weapons ranging from machine guns to napalm launchers are just lying about for the player to pick up. The napalm launcher is acquired as part of a mission and cannot be procured anywhere else, although "ammo" for it can be found in various areas. A very minor distinction, but one I felt was worth making nonetheless. Changed it to "rocket-launcher" instead, a weapon that can be found in relative abundance. CyberRaptor 19:47, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good. —LOL 08:43, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

I would like to question the following sentence: “Regardless of the Dude's actions, the police storm the building in an attempt to arrest Gary Coleman and a gunfight ensues which invariably results in Coleman's demise (with or without the player's help).” Does Coleman really die after the player eliminates all the cops? —LOL 08:43, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, he does. All the times I've played he's dies even if you kill the cops first. It was kind of weird, I watched him after I killed the cops, and he just sprung up and died. ``BGOATDoughnut 03:53, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
He does die regardless. If you have Dude's vocal variety cranked up, he'll even comment on this if you're still in the mall, even if he doesn't actually witness this. Apocalypse Weekend retcons the death though as he's alive in the hospital at the start(he'll run in terror from Dude), and walking around Paradise bandaged up later on(the numerous "hallucination" Gary enemies are not the same, BTW). You can kill him when he's walking around though. If you cut off a limb with the machete, he'll crawl on the ground and utter, "If I see anybody selling my blood on eBay... I will come back from the dead and kick your sorry asses!".

[edit] Weapons section

Does anyone think there should be a short section dedicated entirely to the weapons encountered in Postal 2? There are certainly a great deal of them, and it might be useful to generate a list. The ones in Apocalypse Weekend, Apocalypse Weekend 7, and Eternal Damnation can be included as well. Volkov 325 19:45, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spoilers

I've just stopped reading. The gameplay section is full of spoilers. Follow path A Colman dies, follow path B Colman dies. I was looking for info on a game I indend on playing. Please tag these sections with spoiler tags. 202.134.253.187 01:37, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

That, plus Coleman doesn't necessarily even die, so it's not even true. I've played the scenario several times and he was always alive by the time I left the mall...however, his demise is implied at the 'end of the day dialogue' between Postal Dude and his wife, so... [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Postal 2 game screenshot.jpeg

Image:Postal 2 game screenshot.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:08, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Controversial aspects subheaders

The list of controversial aspects had become quite long and unstructured. I've added a few subheaders. I'm not all too happy with them as they are now, but I think it's still better than having just one long list. Maybe someone else can improve the structure.—Graf Bobby 01:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name

Is the name of the game Postal 2 or Postal squared?--69.217.163.43 (talk) 20:41, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry, couldn't help it

I guess you could call this going Postal over Postal2Emma Hordika (talk) 21:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Emma Hordika
