Ponta Leme Bedj

Pónta Lem Bedj is a point located in the southeast of the island of Sal and is one of the few geographical features that are only in the Cape Verdean Creole. The point is situated about 1 km east of the town of Santa Maria and less than 1 km from the urban sprawl, it is also linked with a countryside road that is almost entirely unused.

The point are surrounded by desert sands with bushes and rarely features beach plants. The point features a lighthouse. It offers a panoramic view of Serra Negra which is approximately 4 km north.
