Pluchea sericea, commonly called Arrowweed, is a plant of the Sonoran Desert once used medicinally as a dermitalogical aid, gastrointestinal aid, antidiarrheal, and throat aid. Other traditional uses include thatching, arrow making and cooking of the edible root.
