Pirassununga

Pirassununga is a municipality/country in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 was 69,029 and the area is 728.78 km². The elevation is 627 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language.
The area is an important in the production of cachaça in Brazil.
