[edit] Penguins!

This game resembles Penguins!.

[edit] Not inspired or related to pingu..?

Is that line claiming that the name 'Pingus' was somehow stumbled upon with no influence of the TV show at all? I would seriously doubt that that is the case... I can't find the origin of the name of the TV show, but I can't find any connection with penguins and the word 'pingu' other than the TV show, and this game. I would go as far as to say that the name certainly was inspired by Pingu without proof to the contrary.

The name Pingus is a sort-hand for "Pinguine", german for penguins. The goal was simply to find a name that sounds cute, is short and relates to the topic of the game. One alternative choice was Lemguins, but that sounded to crappy , so it was dropped. -- Grumbel 11:55, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
