Maybe one or two items of general interest . . . but this is becoming a fan site article again. Pierre's broken collarbone at age 13 is not of general interest (and not terribly verifiable, unless he's mentioned it). Let's pick one or two items for the trivia section and resist attempts to expand it.--Wehwalt 21:10, 1 May 2006 (UTC)


I gutted this 'graph, but it may have material needed in other articles (David Desrosiers, Simple Plan, Reset (band)):

At age 15, he founded the punk rock band Reset with his schoolmate Chuck Comeau, in which he was the lead singer and guitarist. Later David Desrosiers also joined, but since 1999 Desrosiers has been a member of Bouvier's new band Simple Plan. Bouvier is the lead singer of Simple Plan, but also plays guitar in several songs. He also hosted a show on MTV called Damage Control.

If there's nothing to say abt DD but this, leave it for DD's bio & the respective band articles.

BTW the post that used to be here about [first name of Pierre's girlfriend] and that disease it said that she has well first off how would the person who posted this know about it and Pierre didnt and second I took it upon myself to google the disease and #REDIRECT ITS NOT REAL!!!!! I have no idea why people hate her if you dated Pierre I'm sure that you would'nt want people bashing you!!! Put youself in her shoes for once! and quit making up crap about her and bashing her!!!!!! Dont ya think its a little immature?!?!?!?!? Think about it...

I'm also deleting the claims that Pierre is engaged. While there was some claim in a Brazilian newspaper to that effect, I really don't think what amounted to a gossip column satisfies WP:RS. And I know it has the fan sites afire, but what it amounts to is: until Pierre announces something, or else something more reliable is published, I'm gonna keep deleting unsupported claims.--Wehwalt 05:14, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

peirre is such a hottie Is he engaged or not? Half of the people are saying he is and the other half is saying he isn't. I'm very confused =/

It is. However, the stuff about them being engaged is just rumors until they actually say (if they do) and we have a reliable source on it. So I am vigilant about keeping it out of the article. I feel that his girlfriend's name is not encyclopedic.--Wehwalt 22:56, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Please try to keep this article clear of info which is not of interest to the general reader, just to SP fans. His pets, his girlfriend, details of the stage show, all really don't matter to the general reader. So understand that if I reverse the edit, that is likely why--Wehwalt 21:42, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
