[edit] Opening of station

If anybody knows when this stations opens, please let me know on my talk page - I initially misread the timetable, giving my original opening date. The nearest official comment I can find is this one - in response to a question by John H about Phoenix Park Station opening, the answer given is "Autumn 2007". Various sources give the proposed opening date as "late 2007" (obviously passed), and "early 2008". Other sources (like the one you note) are more specific, giving dates in August 07, January 19th 08, and January 21st 08. The most convincing one I saw noted that it will open at the same time that the new "Maynooth / Longford IrishRail commuter services" are launched. FYI: As well as the timetable already showing PPark, I read a note that the destination board in Connolly, the automated audio announcement system, and the stop ticker above train doors are already annoucing the station as a stop - Even though it's not actually open yet. Therefore I'd say it might simply be safer to wait until it's officially opened. (And then list the "was opened on" date. Rather than a "expected to be opened date".) Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Autarch (talk) 10:12, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
