As is often the case with articels from the 1911 Britannica, this needs to be toned down in order to fit with the objectives of a 21st Century encyclopedia. The language is too florid and often is not NPOV. For example: Endowed by inheritance with a rich religious character, evangelical traditions, ethical temper and strong intellect, he developed, by wide reading in ancient and modern literature, a personality and attitude of mind which appealed to the characteristic thought and life of the period. With Tennyson, Coleridge, Frederick D. Maurice and F.W. Robertson he was in strong sympathy.

This is essentially saying that Brooks drew on his traditions, education and reading to develop an intellect not unlike the others mentioned. The problem is no one in the 21st Century (not even someone as pedantic as I) writes like that.Rockhopper10r 14:55, 27 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Saints banner and category

Based on this individual being included in the Calendar of saints (Episcopal Church in the United States of America), I am adding the Category:Anglican saints and the Saints WikiProject banner to this article. I am awaiting reliable sources which can be used to add the content to the article. John Carter 19:02, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
