I think the acceptable abbreviation for the People's Bank of China is the PBC not the PBOC. See its website. Heilme 23:36, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I wouldn't accept its website at face value. The accepted abbreviation amongst Xinhua and other official English media outlets (People's Daily, China Daily, Shanghai Daily, etc.) is "PBOC," and this abbreviation is also used elsewhere. Doing a scan over the major English publications my firm receives, I found them all to use "PBOC" only. Alai 04:57, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
