Thank you for uploading Image:Sj0051.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

[edit] Image licensing issues

You uploaded Image:Galldet.JPG, the license of which states that it is usable for non-commercial and/or educational uses only. However, according to Wikipedia's image policy, it is not usable as there is no restriction that Wikipedia content cannot be used for any other uses than whats specified. As a result, such images are deleted.

However, judging from the metadata of the image showing that it was taken by a personal digital camera, I am inclined to think that you may be the original creator of the image. If you are indeed the original author of the image, you may release it under a free license so that it may become usable here. In that case, you may replace the license section of the image with a free license like {{GFDL-self}}).

If you are the creator of the image, please update the license soon, or else the image will be deleted. Thanks. --soum (0_o) 19:54, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Penarc. I'm glad I could help out. Thanks for adding the information. I wrote a lot of the English article on Hipólito Ruiz López, or more correctly I loosely translated the Spanish Wikipedia article. I meant to write on on Pavón as well, but couldn't find much information on line. I am not a botanist, but rather a historian. However, User:KP Botany, who wrote the original stub, is a botanist. You might want to contact him. I applaud your writing in another language. I read Spanish pretty well, but I would never be able to write an article for the Spanish Wikipedia. --Rbraunwa 02:37, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

The image you added to this page was misidentified. It is an illustration of Aglaophyton major', which it not a vascular plant. older texts call this plant "Rhynia major", but more recent anatomical studies of material from the Rhynie chert have shown it contained no vascular tissue, so the plant was removed from both the genus Rhynia as well as from the Rhyniophyta.
