Pennsylvania Route 144 is a state highway located in the US state of Pennsylvania, covering a distance of 102 miles (164 km). The southern terminus is located at U.S. Route 322 in Potter Township while the northern terminus is located at U.S. Route 6 in Galeton.

- 1928 - PA 144 is signed.
- 1932 - PA 144 was paved from Carter Camp to Germania.
- 1934-1935 - The section from Galeton to Germania was under construction and opened in 1935. Also that year, the southern terminus was moved from Carter Camp to Moshannon.
- 1936 - The section from Sproul State Forest to the Clinton County was improved.
- 1938 - The sections north and south of Cross Fork was improvedunty line and in Sproul State Forest was improved.
- 1940 - The section from the south end of Sproul State Forest to the Clinton County line, in Sproul State Forest, Clinton County line to just north of Cross Fork was paved.
- 1967-1969 - The southern terminus was moved from Moshannon to Potters Mills. In 1969, a median was installed from Alternate U.S. Route 220 to Milesburg.
