Penguin Group

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Penguin Group is the second largest trade book publisher in the world, right behind Random House. It is owned by Pearson PLC. Its United States arm is Penguin Group (USA); its British division is Penguin Books.

Penguin Group (USA) was formed in 1996 as a result of the merger between Penguin Books USA and the Putnam Berkley Group.

The company uses many imprints which used to be independent publishers.[1]
