She
- was unknowingly used by a fetish porn site,
- is unable to learn Spanish, despite effort,
- thinks she can speak Spanish,
- has not even a semi-accuarte view of herself,
- has no clue what others really think of her,
- was the last on the block to realize Joseph's parentage.
Yet despite this "Peggy is, in fact, extremely intelligent"???!!!

I was going to say. Shouldn't we mention that her Spanish is terrible. She frequently mispronounces the words and uses the wrong words when trying to speak to others.
- I don't think it makes her stupid that she can't learn Spanish. It makes her stupid that she THINKS she can, but can't.

- Yeah, more along the lines of, she thinks she knows perfect Spanish, so she doesn't bother to learn anymore... so her poor Spanish is fluent in her mind.Ahanix1989 18:38, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say Peggy is quite intelligent in certain areas, but also quite naive and too egocentric to tell the difference between areas where she has talent and those where she doesn't. Boggle and Spanish for instance. Ace of Sevens 23:19, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Peggy's Parents
The rugged cattle ranchers seen in a more recent episode of King of the Hill differs markedly from the middle-America, suburban life that the Platters are shown to have in Texas in the episode where Hank reveals how came down with mononucleosis. In the flashback there, Peggy's mother is a homemaker in horn-rimmed glasses correcting Peggy's grammar, who bears no resemblance to the later Montanan version. Her father, though unseen, was probably not intended to be a rancher in this setting. - Argh, please stop reverting. The cattle-ranch parents were not invented until late in the series. There are plenty of conflicting examples from early episodes (such as Peggy's mother being on her speed-dial). This should be mentioned. J21 20:23, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Her skills
In one episode where she goes to see his parents in Montana, she exhibited her skills as a rancher and a horse-rider. In many episodes, including this one, she has exhibited her skills in using law in her or her family's interest somewhat like an amature lawyer. In most episodes, she seems unaware of these skills of hers. I haven't found any such mention in the article. I was wondering why? Szhaider 19:10, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

"and wants to have an affair with her not because of anything he does," I rewatched the episode recently and I'm not sure this is quite right. He did not do anything romantic, but there were cultural misunderstandings that influenced her outlook. He drank wine with her and was complimentary. He said that his wife was "with the ancestors", by which he meant "her parents" but thinking he meant she was dead is not implausible. He also spent time alone with her in his house and was an actor. None of these things really amount to romance, but I think a perfectly average Texan schoolteacher might fantasize it would. As I recall her friend Nancy thought it might.--T.
