Paz (Ready Set Learn)

Paz is a TV show produced by King Rollo Films, Open Mind and Discovery Kids. The series runs as 80 x 8 minute shows each of which combines both a 5 minute animation with live action before and after. The show integrates the live action with the animation so that the story flows and continues through out. In the US airs on Discovery Kids and TLC on Ready Set Learn between shows. It is focused on a five year old penguin named Paz and his mother Big Penguin. It is a combo of puppets and animation. It aired in 2002.

In Europe and many other countries PAZ runs only as a 5 minute cartoon without the live action sections. Paz is based on the books by Mary Murphy The Title theme was comosed by Art Labriola and all of the incidental music was written by Lester Barnes.
