[edit] Summary

Electrical resistance image depicting buried archaeological resources at a late 18th / early 19th century Pawnee village. Earth lodges appear as circular patterning in the resistance data. Central fires hearths appear as relative resistance lows near the center of several of the lodges. Small circular resistance highs located in the plaza spaces between lodges are thought to represent subterranean pits used to store surplus corn, beans, and squash. Linear patterning running horizontally across the image represents damage to the buried resources caused by agricultural plowing. The x and y axis of this image are labeled in meters.
