[edit] Summary

Description Pawnee Indian Village Museum

Electrical resistance image depicting buried archaeological resources at an 18th century Pawnee Village. Earth lodges appear as circular patterning in the resistance data. Central fires hearths can be seen near the center of several of the lodges. Circular resistance anomalies in the plaza spaces between lodges are thought to represent subterranean pits used to store surplus corn, beans, and squash. Linear patterning running horizontally across the image represents damage to the buried resources caused by agricultural plowing.
