Paul Mara (born September 7, 1979 in Ridgewood, New Jersey) was raised in Belmont, Massachusetts and is an NHL defenceman who plays for the New York Rangers. He was drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
On June 26, 2006 he was traded to the Boston Bruins for fellow defenceman Nick Boynton.
On February 27, 2007, Paul was traded to the New York Rangers for Aaron Ward.
