Pagham is a large coastal village and civil parish in the Arun district of West Sussex, England, with a population of some 5,500.

The village is near Pagham Harbour, once known as Selsey Haven, an important nature reserve.

The village comprises three parts:

  • Pagham Beach which is the coastal area, constructed in the early 20th Century,
  • Pagham which is the original 13th Century village
  • Nyetimber, which was a separate village but has now been absorbed as part of a Local Authority rationalisation.

Pagham Beach dwellings mainly consist of bungalows constructed from old railway carriages, though many have now been rebuilt using modern construction methods.

The Church of St. Thomas a'Becket is considered to be one of the finest examples in England.

The village has now become popular with well known residents including Emma Bunton, (Baby Spice of the Spice Girls), Derek Bell, the former Le Man's champion, and Dean Adams, football commentator and broadcaster on BBC Southern Counties radio.

Pagham is the home to ale and specialist beer pubs 'The Lamb', 'The Lion' and 'The Bear' as well as the popular 'Inglenook Hotel' which is a favourite stop off point for many during visits to events at Goodwood Circuit and races.
