Otopeni is a town in Ilfov County, Romania, a few kilometers North of Bucharest along the road to Ploieşti. It has 10,215 inhabitants, of which 99.0% are Romanians.

Its main claim to fame is the Henri Coandă International Airport - formerly known as Bucharest Otopeni International Airport. As of 2007, it is also the town in Romania with the highest output per capita, mainly because a lot of companies operating in Bucharest have the headquarters in Otopeni.

The mayor of Otopeni is Constantin Silviu Gheorghe, from the National Liberal Party. The Otopeni Municipal Council, elected in the 2004 local government elections, is made up of 15 councillors, with the following party composition:
