[edit] Merge?

In the US, this degree is part of the York Rite. Should it be merged into that article? Blueboar 13:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure, I revcall Pete Normand suggested at one stage breaking out the various degrees within the York Rite, given that the admin structure is an artificial mechanism aggregating a number of only loosely related orders. I'd see that as different from the A&AR which is a coherent progression and the individual degrees require contextualisation within that structure.
I've been thinking about the case for an article on the HRA in its own right (so to speak) and the KT et al already have their own. I'm not a KT so I haven't played much in that area, however I am Mark, RA and A&AR.
What this article does need is de-anglicised.

[edit] Removal of Mark Degree from UGLE Minutes

Whilst the commentary states that the minutes were declassified with regard to the possible inclusion of the Mark Degree in UGLE masonry, the article does not state the reason why. The inclusion of the Mark Degree went against the original Articles of Union of the two Grand Lodges. Something to this effect should be included. This is not POV, IMHP. I will try and locate a reference or source for this in due course. Any views?

[edit] Two Degrees?

Could we maybe have some additional confirmation there are multiple degrees in Mark Masonry? the Mark Master Masons Province of London webpage states " Unlike the Craft, there is simply the one ceremony, the ceremony of Advancement, i.e. there are no subsequent stages to pass through." -- does the one ceremony confer two degrees?!
