[edit] Scope
The scope of this project is to handle all things related to the fraternity know as Freemasonry, its Grand Lodges, appendant organizations and related practices. All articles should be written in a neutral, well-documented, manner. All of these articles should be contained in the Category:Freemasonry or one of its subcategories.
Note: Biographies of individuals who once were, or currently are Freemasons, however, are not within the scope of this project, unless those individuals played an important roll in the history and development of the fraternity.
All editors with a genuine interest in Freemasonry are encouraged to join and participate.
[edit] Article assessment
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The {{WikiProject Freemasonry}} template has a class= parameter that provides an article assessment rating:
- {{WikiProject Freemasonry|class=???}}
The following values may be used for the parameter. Please note that you must type them exactly as below as they are case-sensitive:
- FA (adds articles to Category:FA-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- A (adds articles to Category:A-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- GA (adds articles to Category:GA-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- B (adds articles to Category:B-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- Start (adds articles to Category:Start-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- Stub (adds articles to Category:Stub-Class Freemasonry-related articles)
- NA (for pages where assessment is unnecessary, such as templates & categories; adds items to Category:Non-article Freemasonry-related pages)
If a rating is not assigned, the article will be filed in Category:Unassessed Freemasonry-related articles. The class should be assigned according to the grading scheme. Articles that are unassessed or in dispute can be discussed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Freemasonry/Assessment.

[edit] Collaboration
The current Collaboration of the Week (COTW) is placeholder. See this page for past COTWs.
[edit] Requests for articles
List articles requested to be created in this section. If possible, create the article yourself, instead.
[edit] Projects
This section is for listing of major projects.
- Clean up and revise main Freemasonry article. There is a lot of duplication of material and statements ... mostly added to refute various POV attacks in past versions. Some of this needs to be consolidated and some can be cut entirely. We may want to restructure as well.
-
- Currently B. MSJapan 22:37, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Articles for all Grand Lodges considered regular by the UGLE and major European lodges. Currently headed up by Lexicon, although if anyone wants to take over this project, it would be greatly appreciated.
- The articles Ancient and Primitive Rite and the Rite of Memphis-Misraim need to be consolidated into one, describing the rite(s) history and current use. This would be a big project requiring someone to do a lot of research.
- Cleanup of lists of Freemasons, & Their citations
- Redesign Citation system. This is an integral part of "Cleanup List of Freemasons".
