[edit] speedy delete?

No, I don't think so. Its so short as its a drug that hasn't gone into clinical trials yet, but one that I think is appropriate for an encyclopedia. You may notice I've also done utterly fair articles on other drugs by this company, Ampligen and Alferon LDO, which have not been put down for speedy deletion. There is no biased material suggesting the drug will be a success or a failure. It is a neutral, if short, article, which I will expand as the drug progresses through clinical trials and becomes of greater interest to the medical community. Allow me to quote, word for word, from the Hemispherx website.

'Hemispherx believes that Oragen™ drugs may exert activity through two intracellular mechanisms. First, they may activate the intracellular "latent" RNase L to degrade viral RNA. Second, they may inhibit the HIV replication enzyme, reverse transcriptase, by binding to a different site on the enzyme from that bound by conventional anti-HIV compounds such as AZT.'

Please do not remove entirely valid information from articles. diff Thedreamdied 00:32, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
