[edit] Freed Unit?
Should this article explain what that is?
I linked to the Wikipedia article on Arthur Freed, which has a brief explanation of the "Freed Unit". JeanColumbia 19:39, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Location Shooting?
The previous version's statement that the film On the Town was the first to use location shooting seems pretty far-fetched (what about Nanook of the North?); it was at the time unusual to combine location and studio footage, especially in a musical, and I've updated the text to reflect that. [edit] High school
Is a high school production really notable? Because if it is, we'll have hundreds of these paragraphs on pages like Oklahoma!, Annie Get Your Gun, Fiddler on the Roof, etc. (Incidentally, "flawless performances" is a biased statement). I've removed the paragraph. Keppa 03:08, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Musical Numbers
This list is extremely misleading, as it includes the show's songs, songs written for the film that are never used in stage revivals, and one song cut from the show, all without any identification to warn the reader that this is a composite list. I recommend breaking it up into separate lists or using parenthetical IDs. Fred Lane 18:48, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree, the list is misleading. I split it into Broadway and movie. Will check with revival data to make sure the Broadway list is correct. JeanColumbia 17:25, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
