[edit] Rebuild or existing

Panathinaioko stadium (1896) was completely rebuild for 1896. So was the stadium for Berlin 1936 (ie, stadium Berlin 1916 was taken down). Should be treated equally here. -DePiep 14:35, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Not really a disambig...

This is not really a disambig - more like a description of a category, and a list of things that fall into that category. Therefore, I'm removing the disambig notice. Please drop me a note if you disagree. Cheers! BD2412 T 22:31, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Montreal's Olympic Stadium

Removed the following paragraph from the introduction:

'Montreal's "Stade Olympique" (picture right) is arguably the world's most famous stadium, having cost over $2.2 billion. It is often described as the most beautiful piece of architecture on Earth.'

In addition to there being no citation or support given for such claims, they seem a bit strange considering how widely ridiculed the stadium is in its home country of Canada, both for the high cost of the structure and for its current state of disrepair. Haunti (give'r) 03:13, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] plural: stadiums or stadia?

The article uses both forms of the plural. I guess it should at least be consistent. Spebudmak 00:30, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
