Oliver DeMille is the president of George Wythe College, and the author of A Thomas Jefferson Education, A Thomas Jefferson Education Home Companion and Leadership Education: The Phases of Learning. He is a prominent figure for American homeschooling families.

DeMille attended Brigham Young University (BYU) but left before graduating to attend a small, unaccredited Bible school called Coral Ridge Baptist University, where he received a B.A. in Biblical Studies (May 1992), M.A. in Christian Political Science (December 1992), and Ph.D. in Religious Education (May 1994).[1] He reports his studies were heavily influenced by Cleon Skousen.

In addition, DeMille received a J.D. from an institution called La Salle University in Louisiana (not the La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). This institution was a diploma mill before being shut down by the United States Government in the 1990s.[citation needed] He also received a degree from the Technical Institute of Biblical Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada, but destroyed the diploma after realizing the institution was also a diploma mill. This institution was also later shut down by the government.[2]

DeMille served a two year mission for the LDS Church in Barcelona, Spain.[2]

DeMille has written books and spoken at seminars and other gatherings about his views on traditional education in the United States versus his own experiences. After receiving a doctorate from Coral Ridge, he returned to BYU and completed his bachelor's degree (August 1994).

DeMille is married to Rachel (née Pinegar). They have eight children.
