Old Ironsides (1926) is a seafaring silent film starring George Bancroft, Wallace Beery, Charles Farrell, and Esther Ralston. [1]
This epic adventure film features battle scenes with sailing ships, pirates, and energetic portrayals by Beery and Bancroft. Beery would play Long John Silver in Treasure Island eight years later and offers a younger version of a formidable seafarer here. The movie was directed by James Cruze.
