Detail of a map from between 1850 and 1873, showing Ireleth. North roughly equals up, and the map shows an area of approximately 500 m/500 m. The roads are colour coded as follows-

  • Red- 'Sands Road' / 'Marsh Lane', now known as 'Ireleth Road' and part of the A590
  • Yellow- Saves Lane
  • Purple- Road heading North towards Kirkby-in-Furness
  • Blue- Road heading towards Marton
  • Green- Road heading over the moors to Dalton-in-Furness
