Oklahoma's Fifth Congressional District is located in central Oklahoma and borders all of the other congressional districts (except district 1). It is a densely populated district that covers only 3 counties: most of Oklahoma County (the part not included in district 4), Pottawatomie County, and Seminole County.
Principal cities in the district include Oklahoma City (the state capital), Edmond, Shawnee, and Seminole.
The district is represented by Republican Mary Fallin.
George W. Bush received 64% of the vote in this district in 2004.
