State Route 412 or OH 412 is an east-west state highway in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is just northeast of Fremont at an interchange with the Fremont Bypass, which carries the US 20/OH 19 duplex; its eastern terminus is at OH 101 approximately 3 miles southwest of Castalia. Some maps have OH 412 overlapping OH 101 from that intersection to U.S. Route 6 in Sandusky. As of 2005, however, there are no OH 412 shields along that route. The Technical Services Straight Line Diagramsalso confirm that, indeed, OH 412 terminates at OH 101.

[edit] History

  • 1970 – Original route certified; the entire route was originally part of OH 34 before 1932, and was then part of OH 12 from 1932 to 1970[2]. The route formerly ran concurrently with OH 101 to Sandusky, but there is no date to show when this concurrency was dropped and the route was truncated at OH 101.
