Ogasa District, Shizuoka

Ogasa (小笠郡 Ogasa-gun?) was a district located in Shizuoka, Japan.
As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 82,248 and a density of 472.47 persons per km². The total area was 174.08 km².

[edit] Mergers
- On April 1, 2004 the town of Hamaoka merged with the town of Omaezaki (from Haibara District) to form the city of Omaezaki.
- On January 17, 2005 the towns of Kikugawa and Ogasa merged to form the new city of Kikugawa.
- On April 1, 2005 the towns of Daito and Osuka merged with the city of Kakegawa to form the new city of Kakegawa. Ogasa District was dissolved with this merger.
