Kikugawa (菊川市 Kikugawa-shi?) is a city located in Shizuoka, Japan. The city was founded by the merger of the towns of Kikugawa and Ogasa on January 17, 2005. As of 2005, the city has an estimated population of 49,559 and a density of 525.88 persons per km². The total area is 94.24 km². The city is known for production of green tea. The city's slogan is "Green for the Next Generation".
