North Memphis is a blighted area on Memphis' Northside. It is broken up into smaller neighborhoods like Douglass, Evergreen, Hyde Park, Smokey City, Hollywood aka "Pocket Town"[citation needed], New Chicago, Scutterfield, Klondyke& Frayser aka Da "Bay Area"[citation needed]. Many rappers are from this area of Memphis like Project Pat, Juicy J, and Yo Gotti. The area is known, as rapper Project Pat said, "where the killers hang".
