NC 159 is a short North Carolina state highway entirely in Randolph County that provides access to the North Carolina Zoo. Its southern terminus is at U.S. 220 Alternate near U.S. 220/Future I-74/Future I-73, exit 149. From there, the route loops northeast as Zoo Parkway towards the zoological park. Near the park entrance, a spur route named Spur NC 159 splits from the main road and travels to the Zoo's main gate. The normal route continues northwest after the SPUR NC 159 intersection to its northern terminus at US 64/NC 49 in Asheboro.
