[edit] Northern nominees

In recent years several Taoisigh have appointed Northerners to the Seanad - am I right that they're usually the independents? And is it me or has this stopped? Eoghan Harris may have been a UUP adviser in his career but looks very much a southerner. Timrollpickering 10:08, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

There were no Northern Irish appointees to the 23rd Seanad. Eoghan Harris is originally from Cork, I believe. Snappy56 10:53, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
