Talk:Nissan KA engine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why is the torque rating of the KA24E listed as 206NM @ 4400rpm where the original nissan pintara brochure (which I can provide as proof) lists it as 189NM @ 2400rpm? Perhaps the original author should have done more research into the actual power/torque outputs of the different models... and not assumed that all the KA24Es had the same output.
new to wikipedia, I added the KA20DE and also a picture of a KA24E Sean1978 05:41, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
And where´s the KA20DE now? ;)

This section needs to be cleaned up or re-written in an encyclopedic style, as the current style is far from adequate for an encyclopedia. Sources need to be added and cited proprely, and WP:NPOV be respected. Dread Specter 05:39, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] KA20DE
Who removed the KA20de info?? I can't beleive I did all of that research and someone removed it. The 2.0 liter KA was a variant not sold in the US.
This is what was removed:
KA20DE The 2.0 L (1998 cc)KA20DE was a smaller displacement KA engine used in Japan and other world markets for several vehicles:

Here's a link to Nissan.co.za that CURRENTLY sells Nissan Hardbody trucks with the 2.0 liter KA in it:

Man, wikipedia is really getting stupid. 208.180.133.76 23:36, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My comments about this section
In my experience, enthusiasts have referred to aftermarket turbocharged Nissan engines with a hyphen (i.e. KA24DE-T or SR20DE-T [factory naturally aspirated engines with aftermarket turbocharger kits])
Since the KA20 engine was built and used by Nissan, it should be included in the 'KA engine' section.
What happened to the enthusiast sites previously referred to in this section? Such as ka-t.org or NicoForums.
Would anyone like to conribute a picture of their engine bay (KA24E-T or KA24DE-T for the appropriate section?) Flip240 16:20, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
