Ninian Boyle

Ninian Boyle is an astronomical journalist from Emsworth, United Kingdom

Ninian Boyle was born into a largely Scottish Catholic family. He is the youngest of four sons. He attended a college specializing in the creation of violins. It was here that Ninian Boyle founded a prog rock group The Owl Service which performed a few low key gigs before Ninian decided to focus on astronomy and violins.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and contributing consultant to the BBC Sky at Night magazine.

He is married to Sue Boyle and is father to two sons, most notably Benedict "Bendy" Boyle of Bigtopp fame.
