Ninaithen Vandhai (English: I Thought of You, Then You Came) is a superhit Tamil film which was released on April 10, 1998 and directed by K.Selva Bharathy. The film stars Vijay, Devayani, Rambha. Music is scored by Deva. And the song Un Maarbil, sung by Chitra, was a blockbuster.

Gokula Krishnan (Vijay) has a dream in which a girl comes, dances, and Vijay falls in love with her. All he knows about her is her mole/ birthmark near her navel. However, as Vijay is looking for his dream girl, his father chooses Savithri (Devayani) for him. He agrees to see the girl. She's beautiful but she has no birthmark near her navel and so he rejects her. But Savithri (Devayani) fall in love with Gokula Krishnan and he doesn't loose the hope of marrying his dream girl. Later to get out of this, Vijay applies for a music teacher post and soon gets it. Meanwhile he meets Sobha (Rambha)in his father's friends' house. They both fall in love. He also finds she has a birthmark near her navel like his dream girl. Against his father's wishes, Gokula Krishnan informs Savithri's father (Malaysia Vasudevan) of his unwillingness to marry her. Sobha (Rambha), who is actually Savithri's sister, sacrifices her love for her sister. After some pleasant and some emotional moments, Vijay gets back his dream girl to be his wife.
