This review has been announced on the talk page of WikiProject Theatre. Comments should be added on this page, below.
As part of the Notability wikiproject, I am trying to sort out whether this topic is notable enough to have its own article. Actually sources are a bit weak - mainly press coverage from local newspapers and from a university newspaper. Would you typically include local theatre groups of that kind, or should the article be removed?
Your opinions are welcome; please add your comments below. --B. Wolterding 18:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- I am not an expert on the regional theatre of the United States. That being said, it seems to me that the sources do fulfill the notability criteria. This is a regional theatre company and, within that context, one that appears to be notable. They are clearly not a new company seeking self-promotion, but have an established reputation. The article, from my brief perusal, doesn't appear to make any unreasonable claims about the group--that they are nationally recognised, for example. I'm not sure that recognition at a national or international level is an appropriate marker of notability for our purposes. In all, then, given that there are a few sources, I would suggest a keep. - Thanks - I will remove the notability tag. --B. Wolterding 11:39, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
