Talk:Nikolaus Pevsner
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I seem to recall some story about the Germans bombing Pevsner-listed places in WWII (An Outline of European Architecture was published in 1943) as revenge for British bombing of the German cultural heritage: true or canard? -- Anon.
Maybe thinking of Baedeker raids? Barnabypage 17:14, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Books
The list of buildings of... books is too big for this page, its not like thats all teh at Pevsner ever did. And, since Pevsner didnt write any of the Scottish, Welsh or Irish guide books, and the series now has a life of its own, can I suggest that the books are moved to their own article? I suggest Pevsner Architectural Guides, as this is the name used on the website http://www.pevsner.co.uk/. Buildings of England, etc, can still function as redirects.
