Notability of this composer should be checked. The page is written as advertisement material by User:Michellebryan whose only activity [1] here was spamming articles with references to Nick Peros. Because of this I consider the whole text as suspicious and needing check. Pavel Vozenilek 19:44, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

User:Michellebryan seems to have good intentions, and i have checked her numerous sources, which back up the subject's notability per WP:MUSIC (a record he produced went platinum in Canada, and he's been covered in multiple non-trivial verifiable sources, including the Toronto Star). I'm gonna go ahead and remove the tag. Pavel, please try not to bite the newcomers.--Alhutch 16:30, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Michael Bryan posted long explanation of notability on my page: [2]. I would take it as sufficient for establishing notability. I am not so sure whether Peros is notable enough for List of 20th Century Classical Composers and similar lists but I leave it to Michael Bryan or anyone else to decide. As per the discussion above,I have removed the opening notability banner as notability has been established. Michelle Bryan
