Kriz was born on December 13, 1983, in Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia, to Mike and Seija Kriz.[1] She was educated at the Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney, in Croydon, leaving at the end of Year 10, in 1999, to focus on her tennis career.[2]
