Neyriz or Niriz or Nairiz is a town in Fars Province in Southern Iran ().
The name is also used for the district in which it is situated and for the Bakhtegan Lake. The town was located on its shores, but because of the shrinkage of the salt lake it is now to its southeast. In the nineteenth century the people of Neyriz were Bábís, and rose against the government in 1850 and in 1852, with disastrous results.
The first name of this city was "Naizi"
