This article is not blatant advertising. Everything in this article is true, and I have strived to avoid making it like an advertisement. Please cite where exactly it is like advertising before making such claims. Oriental 51 (talk) 05:25, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

The part about Vision and Values was copied from my Programme Book, actually. Unfortunately, you can't reference a Programme Book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oriental 51 (talkcontribs) 05:28, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Statements like "Our Vision is to be a leading Australian School in the pursuit of excellence in all that we do" and pretty much everything under the Vision, Values, Goal and Mission Statement heading read like an advertisement. Nothing should be written as if it is being said by the school, and vision, values etc are generally unencyclopedic. If it can't be referenced it shouldn't be included (see Wikipedia:Verifiability). Statements such as "it is regarded academically as the best non-selective high school outside of Sydney in New South Wales, and has been ranked in the top 50 high schools in the State for the past decade" MUST be referenced. Please have a look at the four best Aust school articles (ranked as Wikipedia:Good articles) to gain a better understanding, they are: Aquinas College, Perth, Caulfield Grammar School, Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney and Scotch College, Perth. Quite a bit of the info is not really appropriate for a wiki article. Also have a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style to learn about how an article (particularly headings) should be structured. You are still pretty new at this so I don't doubt that you will get the hang of it with a bit of experience. It took me a while. I hope this helps! Loopla (talk) 05:41, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

It can't be advertising becauser the Vision, Values, Goal and Mission Statement can be found in the Programme Book of every Newcastle Grammar School student from Years 3-12. It is not just advertising; these are supposed to be aspirations of the school and students of the school.

I have strived to reference, and just now done so further. I now believe it is all properly referenced.

The statement "it is regardede academically as the best non-selective high schol outside of Sydney in New South Wales, and has been ranked in the top 50 high schools in the State for the past decade" is certifiable true and HAS been referenced.

In light of my edits and comments, kindly comment further where improvements are still required.Oriental 51 (talk) 06:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

None of the citations at the beginning of the article on the article being like an advertisement or being insufficiently referenced are relevant anymore in light of recent updates. Thus I have deleted them. 130.56.32.2 (talk) 05:54, 22 April 2008 (UTC) Oriental 51
