[edit] Fortuño's detraction within the party
Do not delete this because it is an important reaction after the primaries. It is said to those of you who don't want to acknowledge this that most of Rosselló's supporters endorsed Fortuño but some criticized him. Its important to be neutral and inform all angles after the primaries.--Juancro (talk) 20:42, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Church of Satan?
Removed the reference to Rosello as a Satanist; no mention of it in his article, possibly vandalism, but feel free to correct if this is in fact the case...
[edit] Vandalism
Yeah, I just removed references to satanists and sadism. There's vandalism throughout the page and I'm not sure what's true and what's not. Someone should lock this page if this keeps up.Papercrab 06:57, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Semi-protection
Due to nonsense vandalism I've semi-protected the page. Durova 15:30, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Motto
Party motto in the logo on the right says Satan.
[edit] Fix Attempt
I've tried to fix some of the problems with this page ... but it would benefit from a through going-over by an expert. Eddieuny 04:43, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- While I'm no expert, I found and removed a couple more instances of nonsense and sourced two of the more surprising statements that turned out to be true. This article would become a lot more vandal-resistant if it had more citations. Durova 06:04, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article is not neutral
The sources are insufficient to support some of the statements. The article is written in a biased way. The links to the sources are not working.Alterx 22:34, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bad edits reverted
User:Prwolverine has ben doing POV, WP:OR, un-sourced changes to this article. I have reverted to the state previous to his edits. While I dodn't necessarily endorse the version I reverted to, his edits where definitely not good. I am posting welcomes etc as it seems like a new user. Thanks!--Cerejota 07:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong US 51 Star flag
The 51 star US flag displayed is not generally used by the NPP and would most probably not be the one adopted by Congress. The generally acceptable flag which is displayed in many NPP activities is the 51 star flag in which alternate rows of 8 and 9 stars are used.Pr4ever 14:37, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Removed links
I removed some of the External links because the were not proper. Facebook links are not proper for an encyclopedia article. Neither are external links to websites which are clearly advertisement (Roselló and Fortuño pages). Said pages can be used as sources in the article if the site provides any factual information (e.g. biographies). --Charleenmerced Talk 06:13, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that the facebook links should be removed. However, I believe that the web links to the gubernatorial candidates' websites is an invaluable source of information for anyone researching about the NPP. In particular, since the "official" NPP website is tilted in favor of the party's leadership (to the exclusion of Puerto Rico's top NPP elected officials---Fortuño, McÇlintock, the Senate leadership, etc), the additional links provides the balance that the "official" website does not entirely provide. The PRSSA link, as well as an NPP Youth, NPP Womens and NPP Public Servants' organizations' links, provides additional NPP-related data not found in the official link and facilitates research, which is one of the main purposes of these articles on Wikipedia.Pr4ever (talk) 19:40, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- The main points and other imp info from those websites should be briefly incorporated into the article itself. I still disagree the websites should be there as External Links. Instead, I think someone should take the time to first of all, fix this article, second add the necessary and relevant information (and maybe using the websites as sources). The reason why I don't think the websites should be there is because they are advertisement and nothing else. It is not proper for ads to be here in Wikipedia. Also, this article lacks relvant current info. Further, the links are not proper research links for ppl visiting Wikipedia because they are ads, they are too one-POV and do not put things in context. Since I don't want this to turn into an edit war, I will not remove the links. Instead, I think you should. I just think this article is in a horrible state and that these cites just ad to the confusion. --Charleenmerced Talk 05:36, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- I've removed the following links:
- "Official" New Progressive Party Website
- Fortuño for Puerto Rico PNP
- Rossello Followers Website
- Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association Official Website
...as suggested in this discussion page. I don't have the time to source a major rewrite of this article which I agree requires significant work.Pr4ever (talk) 05:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong website
The pnp.org is not the official party's website, it belongs to a former representative who in way is connected to the Party itself. It is conventional practice to accept the gubernatorial candidate's website as the one for the party. Is someon does not agree, another option would be to use the www.pnp2008.com, but this one is outdated and still mentions Pedro Rossello as the party's website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.94.85.80 (talk) 17:45, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Someone added the pnppr.net website as the official one, however this one is not the official one, and is grossly outdated. The www.luisfortuno.com should be accepted as has Wapa.tv on their website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.94.85.80 (talk) 20:33, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
